Recently, I continously encounter this issue where Adrenalin Software refuses to open itself because of "incompatible version" (I'm assuming, since it's requesting me to download a compatible version of the AMD software). I can't access the software unless I go through the whole process of removing the old drivers and installing new ones.
The red button redirects me to https://www.amd.com/en/support/download/drivers.html page, where I download the installer that should technically auto detect my gpu (filename: amd-software-adrenalin-edition-24.12.1-minimalsetup-241204_web.exe). It works fine after reinstalling but the next time I open my pc, the error appears again.
I really need the AMD software because there are games that I can't play without the driver settings (such as OpenGL Triple Buffering or The AMD Upscaling)
How do I fix this thing? I tried:
- installing the exact version for my gpu (RX6600) without using the auto-detect thing
- used amd cleanup utility to remove any "conflicting" drivers.
