Software and driver versions keep getting out of sync

This happens regularly. I don't know how regularly, because I never know about it until I try to open the Radeon software. But nearly every time I try to open it, it tells me the softare and driver versions do not match. I end up having to reinstall the software to fix the problem every time.

Is there a way to avoid this issue? I thought part of the point of the software was that it would update the drivers and itself to stay in sync.

Check in 'windows reliability history monitor' to see if MS has been overriding driver update with its version.

Ryzen 5 5600x, B550 aorus pro ac, Hyper 212 black, 2 x 16gb F4-3600c16dgtzn kit, NM790 2TB, Nitro+RX6900XT, RM850, Win.10 Pro., LC27G55T..

I don't see anything related to AMD drivers since my last update/reinstall of both drivers and software.

This is caused by Windows updating the driver in the background, which means you are using a version of Radeon Software that is not compatible with the driver version being installed by Windows.
