For the last couple months I haven’t been able to access the Radeon adrenaline app cause I clicked record and stream and it constantly crashes the app now I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers and no matter what it keeps crashing. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I am using AMD Radeon 570, and i have the same problem, i just wanted to change a settings and accidently click on record & stream after that my driver just crash.
Im having the same issue with my rx6600 build. At first i was able to open recording & streaming page, but when i made an recording and used shortcut ctrl+shift+e to stop and save recording ever since then it has been crashing every time i open "recording" sheet of recording and streaming page, i tried reseting recording and streaming settings but it didnt work , when i clicked on recording page it just crashed, now because i reseted all the setting my "record desktop" setting turned off. Now whenever i try opening the app it just crashes cuz its stuck on recording page, i would usually get around that by using ctrl+shift+e to open a sidebar to ask me what window i would like to record and i would just cancel it and go to homepage. But now when "record desktop" setting is off, i just get pop up i cant interact with telling me to turn it on, wich i cant cuz im stuck on recording page. Anyway if you, kind soul from internet, have found the solution please help. Thanks you in advance.
why do you use that app for streaming? is there a particular advantage to using it over another?
It's hard to know if the programs of off-shoot streaming platforms can adapt and overcome a 'seamless experience' - I recommend OBS Streamlabs till you stop crashing - you lose viewer retention on scuffed streams.
I have the same problem on RX6800XT and RX7900XTX cards. Has anyone found a solution to these crashes?
So I found a partial solution. A guy on reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/AMDHelp/comments/1531nqy/record_stream_tab_crash/ advises to install version 23.4.1 drivers and they actually work without crashing. They can be downloaded for example here https://www.techspot.com/drivers/driver/file/information/18277/
You can uninstall existing drivers via https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-601
