Problem with ATI HD 5650

Dear Advanced Micro Devices AMD Company.

Still in 2025 i ocassionally play indie and MMO games with my notebook with ATI Mobility Radeon® mobile videocard and some times it crahes the driver.

I think to buy NVIDIA RTX 5060 or AMD Radeon 9070XT. I will certanly buy AMD 9070 XT 16 Gb GDDR6 if you can make better driver to my old videocard.

P.S.: Please make new optimization for legacy HD 50XX series. We still play with them. Help us please. Find some programmers for this task and some glorious time please.

I wouldn't hold your breath. All HD Series (Desktop and Mobile) are considered to be legacy or Non-Supported with any more AMD updates. The last updates for the HD series is from 2015 or 2016: https://www.amd.com/en/support/downloads/drivers.html/graphics/radeon-hd/mobility-radeon-hd-5000-ser...

 

I would let Windows Update install the best compatible AMD Graphics driver for your laptop.

 

NOTE: If you need newer updated AMD Drivers you will need to update your Laptop to one that is supported by AMD or a PC with a supported IGPU or GPU card.
