Poort Performance

Summary of the issue: Really slow UI performance (general windows, Chrome, Adobe Light Room, etc).

What I have tried to resolve the issue: Did a complete System Restore from the cloud (Windows 11 Home). After that was done, I installed the latest AMD chipset and GPU drivers. Updated Windows 11 to latests version. Nothing seemed to help. Laptop is only about a year old, but my 10 year old Asus N550JK (core i7-4700HQ) feels 10x snappier.


The laptop seemed to perform fine when we got it, something in the last couple of months seems to have degraded the performance.

I don't know what to try next.

5. Check SSD Health and Space:

6. Run Performance Diagnostics:
- Use the *Windows Performance Monitor* to track which processes are consuming the most resources. You can open it by searching for "Performance Monitor" in Windows. Look at any spikes in CPU, memory, or disk usage, which may point to background processes that are slowing things down.

7. BIOS Update:
- Check HP’s support website for any recent BIOS updates for your laptop model. BIOS updates can sometimes improve hardware performance and compatibility with Windows.
