Hello, I want to talk about the problem that I am facing, and that many are facing as well, which is that the game Marvel's Spider-Man 2 crashes at the start screen. This is because the graphics card has not been updated to the latest version, which is 25.1.1, but it is not available on the Rx 580. It is sad to see that cards older than The Rx 580 from Nvidia received an update and works without problems, so I really hope that AMD resolves this matter.

UPDATE:

Got a reply to my ticket saying "the RX 580 unfortunately doesn't meet the game’s minimum requirements for Marvel's Spider-Man 2, which calls for at least an RX 5500 XT to run smoothly. While the RX 580 is a capable card for many games, its performance with newer titles like Marvel's Spider-Man 2 may not meet expectations without the necessary hardware support."

Here's my reply to "Karim" at AMD Global Customer Care: 

"Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, since there is no universal ranking and tier system for video cards, I cannot verify your assertion that the RX 580 does not meet the minimum requirements of Spider-Man 2 based on a comparison with a card that does. Please understand that this type of archaic comparison is like saying "the 2016 Toyota Rav-4 does not meet the minimum requirements for this family of five because their requested minimum vehicle requirements as listed are a 2014 Honda Accord". You understand that such a response by AMD is entirely unhelpful, of course. Please explain WHY you believe the RX580 is incapable of running the software if given access to the 25.1.1 update. As it stands, the only reason I can see that it can't is because AMD will not allow it to be attempted. Is my understanding correct? Is the problem really that AMD is unwilling to extend the resources to bring an "older" card into performance standard expectations when they could just as easily force their customers to a newer purchase?

These ridiculous assertions that because the card is not identical to the one listed as "minimum requirements" it therefore does not meet the requirements is the stupidest response. WHY?! WHY doesn't the RX580 meet the requirements? Essentially the response is, because I've owned it too long.

That's insane and pure predatory practices on very loyal AMD buyers.  Tell me why TF it's so subpar!!  As many have posted on here, the RX580 CONTINUES  to chew through some very heady contemporary games and does so like a champ.  You don't get rid of an 1957 DB Mark III Aston Martin just because it was built before the 1984 Ferrari Testarossa.

AMD: Tell me why the RX580 can't handle it, other than the fact you don't want to spend the money to give it the coding on the back end when you could instead force me into buying the Testarossa.

If this isn't resolved soon by AMD saying "Whoops! our bad, yes the 25.1.1 update has been made available for the RX580 to our loyal customer base" I'm going to refund the game and expressly say the reason is AMD refuses to support its own hardware in favor of predatory practices.

I agree with you more than ever,because it is wrong to do this when NVIDIA graphics cards which are much weaker than rx570 and rx580 but they can run the game even achieve 60 fps,because Nvidia cares about its users and give the latest driver to download on old graphics cards,but amd for some reason can not do it,but why? yes the graphics card is not the first freshness but it is still able to run new games. If AMD wants us to buy new video cards, then what is the point of buying a new video card if we are not sure that the same thing will not happen on it? And then what should we buy another one? If AMD does not stop this abuse, then in the future I will not buy video cards from AMD and will go to something else, that is, to NVIDIA because it gives you to download new drivers for old video cards.

i hope amd solves this issue , i mean even nvidia 750 ti with 2gb vram can run this game,, like seriously?? if its not solved we should start to think that they are doing this intentionally to make us buying their new gpu ,,

AMD should really give us the driver. It's a shame that rx400-500 cards can't run this game while other nvidia weaker cards are running it smoothly

You just need to update the 25.1.1 driver to suit your rx 580.

It is really unfortunate that I see old graphics cards from Nvidia working with the game without problems, such as the GTX 750ti, GTX 1060, and GTX 1050. What is even more strange is that someone was able to run the game on the integrated card present in the processor without problems, but a graphics card such as the Rx 580 can't even to run the game. How could something like this happen? All because there is no update available from AMD that solves the problem that I face and that many users face. I really hope that AMD sees this post and cooperates with us to solve this problem.

@Ahmedisreal999 you've posted in the correct section and I imagine someone Official from AMD has seen this post but just may not have a reply yet as they also have to go through the proper channels. The individuals you've tagged are just volunteers like myself for the community forum. We can pass things along but don't have any decision-making capability or the ability to give you an immediate answer to your problem. Your patience is greatly appreciated until something official comes from AMD staff. Thank you for making this issue known.

if you can, then pass this form to AMD themselves, because we have all been waiting for this game for a very long time, now it’s out but we can’t play, and we really hope that AMD will notice this and help us with this problem

Personally, I don’t understand why AMD is doing this. If their goal is to drive people away from AMD, they are on the right path. They want us to buy a new GPU, but after everything that has happened, why would people choose AMD again? How can they trust AMD after this?

Before this issue arose, I was planning to buy a new AMD GPU, but if this problem isn’t resolved, I will lose trust in AMD and choose an NVIDIA GPU instead.

I think you shouldn’t lose your users, AMD team. We know you can fix this, and we want to trust you.

Yea, bro you are right I was planning to buy Rx 5600 xt or rx 6600xt but after this kind of attitude by amd  I am shifting towards Nvidia if they not released any update for driver

Yes ! the same problem occurs with RX 590. Please AMD !! we're your users. That is your responsibility to listen to us and fix our problems. Upload the latest driver Please!!!
