So I have an older secondary system with the following specs:
Core i5-750
EVGA P55 FTW
Sapphire RX 570 4GB
EVGA 550W G3
8GB DDR3
64 GB SSD
Windows 10 1809 with the latest updates
The problem I’m having is whenever I try to install the latest drivers (18.9.3 or 18.12.1.1) it completely disables all my motherboard’s on-board devices after restarting (eg. All sound, Ethernet, and USB ports don’t work). Even in safe mode they don't work so the only fix I've found so far is to reinstall Windows.
If I stick with the latest drivers offered in Windows Update it seems to work fine. The version in Windows update seems to be 17.7 but I want to use a more up to date version.
Anyways my questions are
1) Does anyone here have a functioning LGA1156 system running Windows 10 with a RX 5xx GPU and the latest AMD drivers?
2) Has anyone else encountered the same issue as me and if so how did you solve it?
