Hi there,
Not sure, if I'm in the right topic, so push if not so
We have some Corp. NUCs-Similar HPs:
Model HP EliteDesk 705 G4 DM 65W
AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 2400G with Radeon Vega Graphics
Microsoft Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC (24H2 26100.1742) - (Signed Driver: on)
RAM 32,0 GB (Tested - fully working)
BIOS Version/Date HP Q26 Ver. 02.23.00, 21.09.2023
All were working well until two weeks ago, since then, with one we have driver issues (Code 43)
*Edit: I think this not since two weeks; but since the 24H2 Major Update (some days before)
Current Driver, which stopped working is: 31.0.21921.1000
We have also tried two (sorted by date from current) older Driver versions - no solution!
Since then, we face no graphics view (Windows standard Driver), which is unacceptable.
Every time by reinstallation (deleting the whole Driver) and installation of the Driver w/wo Software - driver didn't even start working for first time at the end of the installation.
Therefore, the Setup suggested to send a bug report --> Accepted (and typed-in with 4 Reports my Private E-Mail as well as the Corp. one [Many Driver Versions tries]), but got no feedback till now.
Please have a look at:
https://www.file-upload.net/gal-345880/ws29qj/1.html
I've also the Bug-report zip file form the failed driver installation - if need.
Please help us, as we are getting into serious problems with these issues (Remote access is practically not given).
Thanks in advance!
Cheers...
Kindly push...
The Ryzen 2400G is not supported on Windows 11 as it does not have fTPM 2.0 which is a Microsoft requirement.
You can check with HP if there is an option for an add-in TPM 2.0 module available for your device.
Hey FunkZ,
First of all, I want to thank you for at least trying to help me, which has been sadly lacking from the official AMD forum support.
However, your idea cannot be correct because:
The main cause of this was the error reported by the Windows Event Viewer (004.png): 0x00000E5, which indicates a permissions issue that I managed to resolve by repeatedly deleting and reinstalling, but after restarting, the same problem reappeared, indicating that it’s related to Windows Registry permissions issues.
So, the more economically plausible decision was to set up the system anew, and ‘et voilà’, these issues were gone. A reinstallation of Windows 11 Ent. and Windows 11 Ent. IoT with the current version worked flawlessly. I even tested older AMD drivers, and lo and behold, all (both old and new) worked.
However, it is very (very) weak that the official support forum of one of the largest chip manufacturers in the world fails to adequately train its first-level or even second-level support teams to respond to the inquiries of product owners. Especially considering I own business products!
Thumbs down, guys!!!
There are ways to get around the Microsoft requirements, but the 2400G is not a Windows 11 supported processor, as per the link I posted previously.
This is a user community forum, where people such as yourself share knowledge. If you'd like to contact AMD directly you can use this online request form or telephone support.

This was no inofficial "get around" within 2400G; MS offers the solutionn officially bythemselves.
An as I mentioned:
- There has been no CPU Issues (iGPU is important, right drivers access this HW whithin CPU) AND
- After a resinstallation there has been no more issues
So the problem was not about the compatibiliy or lack of given support to the CPU or iGPU.
According to your original post everything was working until 2 weeks ago.
From my understanding Microsoft Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC doesn't get regular Windows Updates which is required by the latest AMD Drivers.
So possibly, a Windows Security update 2 weeks ago could have bricked your IGPU AMD driver or possibly you added some hardware in which its driver is in conflict with the IGPU driver.
As noted by Funkz, you processor isn't compatible with Windows 11 OS even the "Pro" version. So it is possible a Security Windows Update may have made your Processor IGPU not work correctly.
Is the Workstation you are using Microsoft Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC have a separate GPU card installed? If so which Make & Model?
If you have a separate GPU card installed that driver might be in conflict with your IGPU driver.
Do you have video output with Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, Windows own native basic Graphic driver, installed? If not then I suggest you may have a defective Motherboard or CPU.
I would open a AMD SUPPORT - WARRANTY ticket to see if your CPU has become defective or not: https://www.amd.com/en/forms/contact-us/support.html
Here is Microsoft explanation of Device Manager Error 43 - "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems"
Cause
One of the drivers controlling the device notified the operating system that the device failed in some manner.
Recommended Resolution
If you have already tried the "Try these steps first" section, check the hardware documentation or contact the manufacturer for more information about diagnosing the problem.
Reinstall the device driver manually
From Start, search for device manager and select Device Manager from the results.
Right-click the device in the list.
Select Uninstall from the menu that appears.
After the device is uninstalled, choose Action on the menu bar.
Select Scan for hardware changes to reinstall the driver.
Note You may be prompted to provide the path of the driver. If you are asked for the driver and you do not have it, you can try to download the latest driver from the hardware vendor’s website.
Check BIOS for any IGPU Settings that might have changed if you upgraded your BIOS Version during that time.
I would download and run OCCT Stress test to check your CPU, GPU, & PSU. See if the the PC fails in any of the OCCT Stress tests.
NOTE: If you just upgraded your Windows Enterprise LTSC it is possibly it made your current IGPU driver incompatible.
From my understanding Microsoft Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC doesn't get regular Windows Updates which is required by the latest AMD Drivers.
Well, LTSC dosn't get fuctional updates as the casual ones, but indeed it also receices compatibilities as well as security updates.
So possibly, a Windows Security update 2 weeks ago could have bricked your IGPU AMD driver or possibly you added some hardware in which its driver is in conflict with the IGPU driver.
Yes, I'm sure it have broken, but not because of the compatibility issues; as said the thsi HW did worked well with the LTSC and LTSC IoT (BTW this HW as well as the otherone has noe other GPUs inside (SFF) and afte the resintallation it is also working well, so it could not be about any incompatibility issues.
Do you have video output with Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, Windows own native basic Graphic driver, installed? If not then I suggest you may have a defective Motherboard or CPU.
Yes I did have a signal output through the Basic driver.
And to the other points:
I am an IT Professional (compareable to the Thrd. Lvl. - I've programmed some HW Drivers bymyself sooner time):
I've made a detailed researche, before I opened a Topic.
To the economic side in this case, it was better to reinstall, but bad for anyone, who has hunderets of those systems...
I hope it gets better soon (your service), because I prefer AMD to Intel personally... Else...
Cheers
