I'm seeing this in my start menu and have no idea what this is?
from what i'm hearing its from AMD drivers and is installed in the wrong place i believe? what do i need to do to correct this?

I was deleting the post concerning the download of AMD PROBLEM REPORT WIZARD and accidently ended up deleting all the comments after that post.
My fault, just got up from sleeping and my mind is not very sharp yet.
1) Uninstall AMD Package Driver with DDU in safe mode with internet disconnected.
2) Make sure you delete any AMD Folders in Programfiles or Programfiles (x86) and APPDATA Folder that may have remained.
3) Reboot to Windows Desktop and check the Start Menu and see if the garbled entries are gone. CLick on those entries and see if Start Menu asks to delete them since they are not present on your computer anymore. If not go to Programdata -Microsoft-Windows-Start Menu- Program and delete the entries that you see that are garbled.
4) Run the AMD PACKAGE installer again. Make sure you UNCLICK the AMD EXPERIENCE Program and choose CUSTOM. Under CUSTOM installation UNCLICK AMD PROBLEM REPORT WIZARD. Now run the installer. It shouldn't install neither the AMD EXPERIENCE PROGRAM nor the AMD PROBLEM REPORT WIZARD.
5) Reconnect the Internet and Check the Start Menu again to make sure everything look correct.
Note: If I had known you could have prevented the AMD PROBLEM REPORT from being installed it would have saved a lot of troubleshooting. But that was my fault.
(P.S.: one question was based on on your deleted post(s))
1) can't seem to find any folder with problem wizard name, does it have a different name?
2) there is no app with by the name AMD Problem Report Wizard. there is something called AMD software. And it seems i can remove stuff seperatly instead of everything.
3) if i where to uninstall every driver, what drivers do i install? are there drivers for different languages or stick with the english?
4) Can you give me a link where the DDU tool is found, don't know what site is legit.
5) Should i first uninstall all drivers or the one saying problem wizard and reinstall with the zip you provided or just uninstall everything.
if you say everything, do i use DDU or the with amd official cleanup tool?
Again....this is not a difficult process.
The DDU link is here > Clean Install AMD Graphics Drivers
Disconnect from the internet until you have installed the new drivers and rebooted your computer. And no, you don't have to be connected to install the drivers (that you previously downloaded..and DDU)
Use custom install (not express install)..uncheck the box for Problem report wizard.
Do not join the Customer user experience thing.
which do i reinstall?
"Adrenalin Edition 18.8.1 Optional" or "Adrenalin Edition 18.5.1" and whats the difference?
I give up...
why? the first time i used the auto-detect function the tut. is saying not to.
now i need to know which of the 2 to pick.
Adrenalin Edition 18.8.1 Optional is the latest one. Download and install that AMD Package driver. Please follow the proper method of installing AMD drivers using DDU in safe mode with internet disconnected.
ok i'll pick that, if i might ask. why is this one called optional? is a beta/experimental version? and 18.5.1 is stable or is it something else?
It is similar to being BETA. But I would install that one first and see how it works. If you have problems than uninstall it and install the 18.5.1.
Read the Release Notes on the Driver Download page and you will see what issues it fixed and which it didn't.
It finally worked?
No more garbled Menu entry?
You deserve a badge for this one....
Couldn't have done without your help!
thank you to you all
Same problem here. My folders were OK, but after updating windows the ##ID_STRING16## folder appeared. Is this a windows problem rather than an AMD one?
Dear users,
I simply renamed the strange Start menu entries (Windows 10) as follows:
1 - in the Start menu, right-click the entry ##ID_STRING17##, More, Open file location;
2 - rename the file ##ID_STRING17## to AMD Settings;
3 - in the Start menu, right-click the entry ##ID_STRING18##, More, Open file location;
4 - rename the file ##ID_STRING18## to Uninstall AMD Problem Report Wizard;
5 - still in the File Explorer, rename the folder ##ID_STRING16## to AMD Problem Report Wizard;
6 - Restart the pc and everything will be ok in the Windows 10 Start menu.
It worked perfectly !!! I hope that everything is ok with you too !!!
Greetings!!!
