How to install FirePro W600 drivers without the card

Hi

I have just got AMD FirePro w600 graphics card for my system using Win 10 64bit. When I took my previous card out and inserted the FirePro W600 card, none of the monitors worked. I thought maybe because there wasnt its drivers on the system. But when i tried to install the drivers without the card, the drivers refused to be installed. Is there any way I can install the drivers without the card?

Thanks

No as it has to see the device ID to load the driver.

First I would establish that your card works. Put it in another PC make sure it has a signal. If it does something is wrong with your system that you are not getting display. At that point it is either a bios updated needed for the mother board or a setting needing to be changed in the bios such as EFI and or Legacy mode.

I would start there.

The card was working in the previous PC.

Do you have any other kind of card you can try in this new PC so you can at least try to get the boards bios updated etc....

There is a moderator on this board that does work for AMD and is from the Pro division. Maybe he would have some advice. I will mention him @fsadough

  1. What was the previous card?
  2. What is the system?
  3. Which driver attempted to install?
  4. Which Win 10 version?
  5. What is the make and model of the monitor(s)?
  6. Cables and adapters used?

Oh yes. The card that comes with the pc is still there.

See if your motherboard has any updates to the bios then and install them. If the board supports a combination UEFI and Legacy mode option try that.
