I am looking for driver software for ATI Radeon 6370M HD for my Win XP Pro Lenovo laptop. Tried installing which was downloaded from lenovo, but not working, this was downloaded from lnovo support page itself but not working.
Switchable graphics? Intel processor/graphics?
Hai,
yes it is switchable graphics laptop. Intel on board graphics - model Intel HD graphics 3000 - and working fine also.
but ATI radeon 6370 is not getting detected.
Complete model details
Model No: G470 Laptop (Lenovo) - Type 4328
Machine Type Model:432859319474
I5 - 2540 gen processor.
The machine type model wasn't helpful in this case but doesn't matter found Lenovo's Download page for your laptop:laptops and netbooks :: lenovo g series laptops :: lenovo g470 notebook - US
I would install all the WIndows XP x32 bit drivers and see if your GPU is recognized. If not then click on Diagnostic to test your laptop for Hardware and Software issues.
Thank you, fr your support. Letme check this way
I am a User like yourself. AMD Forums is a User to User Forum.
Hopefully it will work otherwise you will probably will need to upgrade from Windows XP .
Once you post your exact Lenovo laptop model as Kingfish suggested other might be able to help with such an ancient Laptop and Windows OS.
According to AMD Download page there are no Graphic Drivers for Windows XP for your HD6370M so you need to use whatever Lenovo has.
Plus if your Lenovo has a AMD APU (Processor with integrated Graphics) then you MUST download the APU Graphic driver which will install automatically the HD6370M driver, first from Lenovo Support and then from AMD Download page if there are any XP drivers available.
But if you have an Intel APU then you must have the latest Intel Graphics driver and Chipset for AMD drivers to work correctly.
If your laptop's Lenovo AMD driver is not working in your laptop then your laptop must have something wrong with it.
What type of exact errors are your getting?
What does Device Manager show? any errors or yellow exclamation points
Once I know the exact Lenovo Model (serial number if possible) I can see if Lenovo has a diagnostic web page to test your laptop.
Note: AMD doesn't support Windows x32 anymore.
