Description of Original Problem: games randomly locked at 27fps, vsync off, freesync on/off, amd chill is ignored even if its set on much higher fps 60-144
Troubleshooting: only restarting works sometimes, but generally if its locked then on restart its magically fixed
multiple games now for over 2 months are locked at 27fps, can't find anything remotely helpful online
the only fix is restarting, which magically fixes it. doesn't matter if I did anything previously or not. even just reading in browser often does this breaks this. on another restrat/shutdown it pops up again which gets "fixed" by restarting.
couple of interesting point, when the game is locked at 27fps its at 99% gpu utility, vram clock speed at 0.
regular usage in these game when they work at eitehr 60 or 120 fps usage is about 60% and vram clock 2100 something.
games that were affected dead by daylight, fallout 4, fallout 76. vsync always off
wrote this after another fps lock in dbd, after writing and drinking a cup of coffee it was magically fixed without restarting the pc. but this not an issue resolved because most of the time restarting the game doesn't fix this issue.
no such issue in cyberpunk 2077
freesync monitor 144hz, 6700xt gpu.
doesn't matter if OC or not, had this issue on default too.
0 changes, none since the making of this post. just read something in firefox. the 27fps issue magically went away. this is not the first time, its not fixed.
please help me, half the time just starting the game is a challenge coupled with bunch of restarts it just makes not want to play and not do anything with amd products. This issue is incomprehensible to me. its too spotty, I don't understand.
can somebody please help me, 6 months of using an amd product I have had more issue with it than with Nvidia in 15 YEARS
