My computer has started this cycle starting a few months back. I will shut it down with no problems. The next day I will start it up only to get a black screen- no signs that it has booted properly. I then have to do a hard shutdown because nothing else works. When I start it back up, it will load like normal. once at my desktop though, I see that I have no sound. The only fix I have found is to reload the ADM driver and let the computer restart. This whole cycle happens about 50% of the time or more. Any one know of a solution or where to look to find out what the cause might be?

Have you tried running the SFC & DISM commands to check/repair OS files, and/or the Sounds troubleshooter (when the issue  occurs).

Some more info on system hardware, OS, would help for someone to offer other suggestions.
