I have a Radeon RX 6900 XT, and for some reason I can't use Eyefinity, because the option for it in the Radeon software is missing.  I have three new Acer 4k monitors.  Furthermore, I found the Eyefinity app in the AMD folder, and I got this message (neither button works):

I tried multiple times uninstalling and reinstalling different drivers, even with the help of AMD tech support and got nowhere.  I used the AMD Cleanup Utility, and also DDU at one point.  Does anyone have any idea what's going on here?

Did windows update install an AMD display driver?

If so tat is what caused the problem.

You have to use a regedit or Group Policy Editor that specifically blocks Microsoft from downloading their AMD drivers.

I've had to do this to stop windows update from screwing up my Adrenaline Software.

I tried the windows option to not update hardware via windows update that does not work.

Once you do the Regedit or (GPR) you will have to do a factory reset install of both AMD Drivers and Adrenaline and Eyefinity should come back.

Google search how to block windows update from downloading AMD drivers via regedit through either window 10/11 choice depends on your OS. 

Running a Power Color Demon RX 6900 XT and encountered the same problems 3 times till I used a regedit to block it. 

My OS is Windows 10 Pro 64 Version 21H2.

This is making me want to cry...

I did as you suggested.  I followed the instructions here, except that I used DDU to get rid of AMD: https://windowsreport.com/stop-windows-10-amd-driver-update/

That seemed to be saying the same thing you did, but Eyefinity still isn't there.

Open command prompt as admin and run sfc /scannow to check for corrupt or missing OS files. Restart PC when process completes.

Ensure you have the latest MOBO chipset drivers from your MOBO's support site.

Check windows update for pending .Net Framework updates download them.

Check MOBO website for BIOS updates that specifically mention support for DX12 hardware/software or PCIE 4.0 GPU's.

Right click start menu select Run and type dxdiag this will check your audio/video drivers for missing files.

If these don't work I would suggest opening a support ticket with AMD.

Was the card bought used and was it used for crypto mining? If it was used for crypto mining then you more than likely will have to reflash the VPU BIOS to it's default BIOS.

Here is a link for the regedit that I used that fixed my problem with the windows update interference with AMD drivers.

Please note windows standard utilities will not stop this issue.

I'm afraid none of that worked, but I really appreciate the help.  As for my MOBO, I've had DirectX12 running for a while now, and it's relatively new, so I doubt its BIOS or drivers need updating.  I ran DXDIAG and that didn't find any issues.

My MOBO is an MSI MPG Z390 Gaming ProCarbon AC, by the way.

I'm starting to wonder if a Windows reset is in order.  You think that might help?

I also wonder if the DisplayPort cables to 2 of my monitors might be incompatible with Eyefinity.  I have new cables coming, so I'll be able to test that theory soon.

Okay, apparently the cable idea didn't work.

I am talking with AMD tech support, though they haven't been much help yet, unfortunately.

I have the same issue (22.5.1). My notes on this:

• 10-bit Pixel Format (Graphics tab) is not supported and has to be disabled. After restart, the Eyefinity feature (Display tab) is now present. Activating Eyefinity will remove this Pixel Format option.
• Color Depth option (Display tab) to 10bpc, however, is still there... so that's another question I like to know: Do you need the 10-bit Pixel Format enabled to display 10bpc?
• Eyefinity does not support HDR (?). I can set my monitors to HDR, but Windows 11 will not recognize HDR hardware support when in Eyefinity mode.
