Did a clean install of W10, now I can't adjust clocks

I have a RX 590 that can't keep maximum factory frequency for an year now. I fixed the problem slightly underclocking it, from 1550mhz max to 1450. It worked perfectly like that for an year already. However, recently I got a new SSD and did a clean installation of windows. I downloaded the driver, installed it, restarted, and then went to adjust clocks. And everytime I underclock it a bit, my pc crashes. It takes some seconds to up a minute to crash. And I already know that my GPU isn't able to work at the standard clock, and there is no way to underclock it on BIOS. What do I do???

After a clean installation of Windows 10 and reinstalling the graphics driver for your AMD RX 590 graphics card, you're experiencing stability issues when trying to underclock it. To address this problem:

  • Ensure you have the latest GPU drivers from AMD and consider using a tool like Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to uninstall and reinstall the drivers.
  • Check for Windows updates to improve system stability.
  • Monitor GPU temperature to prevent overheating and investigate power supply adequacy.
  • Check for a BIOS update for your motherboard.
  • Run hardware diagnostics tests to ensure your GPU and other components are functioning correctly.
  • If you previously overclocked your GPU, revert it to default settings.
  • If the problem persists, consider another clean Windows installation.
  • Contact AMD support for further assistance if needed.

Always back up important data before making significant system changes and exercise caution when adjusting GPU settings.
