just wondering my Motherboard is suggesting an updated Chipset Driver and APU one, does anyone know the difference
Also AMD site is not showing any Chipset Driver update available
just after advice do i trust the Motherboard driver update or wait for AMD?
Thanks in advance
Solved! Go to Solution.
You don't need the APU driver (it is for processors with graphics). The 5700X has none.
Your choice on installing the chipset driver.
I will sit on the current AMD provided one for now until i see/find info on it.
Would help to know what cpu/apu & motherboard make/model, for someone to comment?
i am using a Ryzen 5 5700X, B550M AORUS PRO-P

I just noticed that there is an AMD APU update from January 3rd 2024 on the Gigabyte site (22.40.46.23).
It does NOT show in the AMD software under the Control Panel software list.
Do I need it on my PC? The AMD Adrenalin shows the Graphics drivers are up to date with version 24.9.1.
