So this is a BRAND NEW PC. its got a AMD 6700 there are some games that just wont launch because it says the card is not strong enough. which it is but it wont even play the sims???? ive had this issue for 3 weeks not. i even click it on steam and the button goes blue then right back to wehre it says play. i switched over to the onboard GPU and works and loads up. Any idea. idk how to roll back to old drivers on AMD so that may work
What graphics drivers are you using? Drivers that came on the PC installed by the OEM? Or did you download the Adrenalin driver package from AMD?
yeah i just downloaded the Adrenalin package
The AMD Ryzen 5 5500 does not have integrated graphics, so I'm confused when you say you "switched over to the onboard GPU and works and loads up."
When you say "ive had this issue for 3 weeks" did it play games fine prior to that? Or you've had the PC for 3 weeks and had this problem since you got it?
so what i mean it played it fine before any updates were added sorry. And played fine on another pc or laptop but its ever since i got this one which is better then the other 2 but as soon as i did update to adrenalin it just stoped. i did this out of box btw without adding any updates
Ok, since you say it worked fine until the latest driver update, I suggest using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to wipe the existing driver and then do a fresh reinstall of the last known good working driver version.
Okay so i got it to pop up after i uninstalled with DDU now where can i get older driver?
So i went back to the olderest it would let me the others said error 132 and soon as i did nothing exact same thing
AMD drivers unpack by default to C:\AMD - look there and you should see every driver version you've installed.
My wife used to play sims4 on an FX4100 paired with an R7 200 series GPU. Your PC specs are are more than enough to play Sims with no issue. What other games are you trying to launch ? Can you provide a screenshot of the error/errors you are seeing ?
X570 Aorus Elite / Ryzen 9 5900X / Sapphire Nitro+ RX6900 XT SE / 64GB Quad Kit Kingston Fury Black 3600MHZ CL16 / RM1000 X PSU
So heres what it shows when i play sims i also added a video of what happens when i try to play another game

This is apparently a common enough problem with specifically Sims 4 (both AMD and Nvidia) that I can find many threads about it google and the Steam forums. It sounds like an EA problem, not an AMD one. People on the Steam forums suggests this guide.
As for The Hunter, Event Viewer can probably shed some light on why it's failing to boot.
