Can't update bios a320m-k a10 9700 to Ryzen 5 5600g

When I try to update my bios with the a10 to a version that supports the Ryzen 5(6042) I won't let me. I found some videos that explains how to flash the motherboard, but some comments say that killed it. If someone know a reliable method to update my bios to the 6042 with the a10 9700 without killing my motherboard it would save me buying a new compatible motherboard thanks.

You should ask on the 'asus rog forum'. Someone there should know if specific steps are required.

Problem is on these older chipset boards once you go past a certain AGESA BIOS version you'll lose support for the old A-series processors and it's typically a one-way trip, meaning you can't flash back to the version you had been using. If you think you would ever want to revert to your A10 better to buy a newer board to support that 5600G.

I would like to clarify that the Asus Prime A320M-K doesnt support 5000 series amd cpus. The motherboard only goes as far as the 3000 series, I hate to inform but I think you may need a new motherboard to support that cpu
