Hi,
I have an HP tower that I bought in 2017 that came with an AMD Radeon HD 6450. Because of a now-corrected problem I removed the card and temporarily used the motherboard builtin display adapter. I put the card back in and it apparently works fine, but when I boot I get the message "No AMD graphics driver is installed, or the AMD driver is not functioning properly. Please install the AMD driver appropriate for your AMD hardware." I go into the Device Manager and click update drivers for the card and it says they are up to date. I go to the AMD support page, download and run AMD Auto-detect, and get "Error 182 - ... configuration is not supported". On the same page I find the card, click submit, and then download, install, and ran "Catalyst Software Suite rev. 15.7.1 WHQL". In that program I click "Check for driver updates", and wonder of wonders it runs MS Explorer viewing the same support page I started with!
I know the card is old, but is this really the best AMD can do to provide drivers?
Do I need to update my drivers or not? If so, how?
Thanks,
Mike
