Hi, i have installed crimson 17.1.2 with my sapphire radeon rx 480 oc 4gb since 2 years and i have thought it's time to update to a newer update. Which is the most stable and legit?

the newest version? i doubt it, probably the new ones have more errors than the old ones.

Before throwing a blanket statement like that, test them on the software you use and see which performs better. Probably no one will use exact the same combination of stuff as you do.

A lot of viewers daily read the forum, and knows exactly which versions are the more suitable than the other ones in terms of stability, not lag/artifacts

Use the latest DDU in safe mode -> Install 18.7.1.

Your card pretty much under-perform in 17.1.2 because its very old.

Since you've got an RX 480 just like I do , I can only recommend you to use the Radeon™ Software Adrenalin Edition 18.6.1

It is by far the most stable driver I've ever used from AMD.
