AMD Adrenalin conflicts with roblox

I spent entire month trying to fix the issue of roblox freezing my entire computer, before i resorted to defaulting my entire computer, so after selective research, it appears that AMD Adrenalin doesn't like roblox, or roblox doesn't like AMD Adrenalin after the new 64x bit update, Whenever you have AMD Adrenalin active roblox will actively freeze your computer, if anyone knows the issue do tell me because i cannot get any dump files to find the issue internally but it must be something regarding the AMD adrenalin overrides

Got the exact same problem, can't get any dumps / logs / events regarding this and yesterday gave up on trying to find the solution. It might be somehow related to their recent byfron anticheat and how poorly it's implemented.

found out about a month ago, forgot to reply here
one of two things worked: either this problem disappeared in the latest drivers, or if you got a ryzen CPU, and have PBO configured, try to completely disable PBO and switch to manual OC/UV
most likely, the problem was the second one, because roblox is a cpu-bound game and any instability on it causes "death"

It sounds like you're dealing with a known compatibility issue between AMD Adrenalin and Roblox, particularly since the shift to the 64-bit client. Here are a few steps to try that may help mitigate the problem:

1. Disable AMD Adrenalin Overlays:
- Open the AMD Adrenalin software, go to *Settings* > *General*, and disable any overlays (like the performance overlay) as they sometimes conflict with certain games.

2. Turn Off Hardware Acceleration:
- In the AMD Adrenalin software, try turning off hardware acceleration for apps. Some users have found that this reduces conflicts in games.

3. Use an Older Version of AMD Drivers:
- If this issue started after a recent update, try rolling back to a previous version of the AMD driver. You can find older driver versions on the AMD website under the driver download section for your specific GPU.

4. Set Roblox to Use Integrated Graphics (If Available):
- If your computer has both integrated and dedicated AMD graphics, try setting Roblox to run on integrated graphics in the *Graphics Settings* in Windows. This isn’t ideal for performance, but it might stop the freezing until there’s a more permanent fix.

5. Check Roblox Compatibility Settings:
- Right-click on Roblox, go to *Properties* > *Compatibility*, and try running the game in compatibility mode for an older version of Windows (e.g., Windows 8). This might improve stability.

If none of these work, it may be an issue that Roblox or AMD needs to address in a future update. Some users report success by simply disabling the AMD software temporarily when playing Roblox, although this isn’t ideal. You could also monitor the AMD support forums or Roblox updates for any patches related to this issue.
