After updating Adrenalin (24.12.1), the computer occasionally restarts when alt-tabbing.
In the Event Viewer, the following error is logged:
- A fatal hardware error has occurred.
- Reporting component: Processor core
- Error source: Machine Check Exception
- Error type: Cache Hierarchy Error
- Processor APIC ID: 3
In the past, a complete reinstallation of drivers resolved the issue, but this time it doesn’t help.
Initially, I suspected a hardware problem with the PC components, but stress tests using FurMark, Prime95, and MemTest revealed no issues.
PC Configuration:
- CPU: Ryzen 5 5600
- GPU: RX 7700 XT
- Motherboard: ASUS TUF B450M-PRO Gaming
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB
- SSDs: WD Green 512GB and Samsung 980 1TB
- PSU: Thermaltake 650W Gold
I don’t remember which driver version I was using previously, so if the issue cannot be resolved for this version, I would appreciate a recommendation for an optimal driver version to install.
