PC Drivers & Software

After updating my amd drivers using the "check updates" in the radeon settings, I am now not able to open radeon settings

I have an AMD Radeon R5 and an AMD Radeon R7 M340 on my HP Pavilion laptop. When I try to open radeon settings it would say "Radeon settings are currently not available. Please try again after connecting AMD graphics".  And I when check them in my device manager it shows the hazard warning beside the AMD drivers icons. And I looked into their properties menu it says "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" on both. I only updated these drivers because when I play my games my FPS would drop to 10-20 for 2-3s. The problem is I already put the game's settings to "Very low" and the game is the only program running. This is making me regret buying this 2000 dollar laptop.
