Basically I would update everything on your Laptop including making sure Windows is fully updated via Windows Update.

thanks, but the question is about the latest driver for my laptop, why is AMD not updating the driver for my laptop? or fix amdfreesync in the latest driver.

Dell's Support AMD Driver is 100% compatible with your laptop whereas AMD generic Mobile Driver is compatible but it won't use all the features of your Dell Laptop. It will act basically like a basic VGA driver.

Does the latest Dell AMD Driver work correctly with Free-Sync?

As for Free-sync you need to be clearer by what issues you are having.

What is the problem you are having with Free-sync on your laptop?

NOTE: Your original post was really quite vague. You don't mention which AMD drivers versions that you installed that Free-sync doesn't work. You don't post a clear & concise explanation but a very general issue that you are having with Free-Sync. 

You said that AMD hasn't updated the AMD drivers in 8 months yet you mentioned that you are using the latest AMD Driver without mentioning the driver versions or date of the driver versions you installed.

You don't mention what steps you have taken to resolve your issue.

Now used dell-ryzen-mobile-4000-series-radeonrx5600m-adrenalin-2020-july15, only in this version of the driver amd freesync works. I'm wondering why the AMD Freesync fix cannot be added to the universal driver for 8 months? the old driver works well, but constantly wants to update to the latest version which is buggy and Freesync does not work.
