Hi all,
I've recently been experiencing issues getting Adrenaline to start (no error messages, just nothing happens when I run the software). I've today run the AMD cleanup tool and installed the latest driver package from the website (amd-software-adrenalin-edition-24.6.1-minimalsetup-240626_web.exe) and now Adrenaline starts but is stuck in a loop on the 'welcome' screen:
If I click on 'Quick Setup' then choose any option (Performance/Quality/etc.) followed by 'Start Gaming' the window closes.
When I run Adrenaline again, it goes back to the same welcome screen. If I click Skip This the window closes and Adrenaline won't start up until I repeat the cleanup & reinstall process.
My graphics card is a Radeon 540X running on Windows 11.
Any ideas? Thank you in advance!

I was able to resolve this by installing 24.1.1. No idea what's wrong with 24.3.1, but the earlier version works fine.
You can't use 24.6.1, the latest for 540x is 24.3.1...
I had no idea! I'll search and download that version. I assumed that the main installer would work as it says "Auto-Detect and Install Driver Updates" and there was no warning about compatability.
Will try the version you mention and report back. Thank you for your help!
OK, I've run the cleanup tool again and installed 24.3.1 but the problem persists
Any other ideas as to what the problem might be or possible solutions?
Was that the full driver pkg, download/save/install, not on Win.11 24H2 (not supported) are you?
What processor model?
Have you tried running SFC and/or DISM commands to check/repair corrupt OS files?
Thanks for the suggestion. SFC reported some corrupt files which it repaired ("Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.") but after a reboot still the same.
It was the full driver package, downloaded and installed (whql-amd-software-adrenalin-edition-24.3.1-win10-win11-mar20-vega-polaris.exe) found by searching for 540X and downloading from the relevant page.
The processor is an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U and I'm running 23H2.
I was able to resolve this by installing 24.1.1. No idea what's wrong with 24.3.1, but the earlier version works fine.
