Adrenalin 24.8.1 Randomly Opens
The latest Adrenalin software seems to cause the software to open randomly. Seems to happen most after the PC comes out of sleep. Not sure if anyone else is having the issue.

24.9.1 (released on 24.10.1) has resolved this issue, as per Patch Notes (and i've downloaded/installed the update and no issues so far).

I have the same issue. I have seen it when playing videos in VLC player, coming out of screen sleep or a screen saver. I don't put my PC to sleep, so the machine is on or off. It is annoying...

Another victim here, on laptops and desktops as well. I'm hating myself for blowing $6,500+ on a desktop and three $3,500+ laptops! The issue is happening even when I unlock the machines, or just flip open the laptop lid even when it's not set to go to sleep. Having seen such erratic issues in the past (not to this magnitude though), this just repeatedly proves AMD QA is not doing their job. This is a mockery of the customer's investment!
I've finally lost my faith in AMD. Time to move on the Nvidia or Intel.

Same with my 6700 xt, w10!!! By wanting to make lots of useless options, amd becomes a **bleep** factory.

Me too. I tried disabling the thing in Task Scheduler, still pops up.
Don't need this annoyance.
I uninstalled Adrenaline, then my monitor would not wake, I'd have to restart the pc.
I hope this gets fixed soon.
AND THE CAPTCHA IS TOO MUCH! Bicycles, so many bicycles!

Same thing. I haven't found any options to turn off the "feature" too. I hope AMD fixes it soon because it's very annoying.

I wonder if AMD are aware of this? Any hope of a patch to fix it? I'm sure that most people do not want this "feature" to remain...

Same for me.
As a work around, I've installed the PRO version of the driver and this BUG is not present.
Note that these drivers are not as up to date, but are much more tested and usually many bugs that are present in the latest release are not in the PRO version.

I am surprised of this problem (should have been easily detectable). But I think I'm more surprised that updates have stalled, and we're almost out of September with no 24.9.x releases (even non WHQL, beta). I'm sorry that AMD won't allocate more resources to the driver and bug fixing team.

It's funny, I have the exact opposite.
When the PC wakes from sleep the AMD Tray icon is gone. I need to stop all remaining AMD processes in the task manager before I can restart AMD software.
Workaround: have the AMD software screen open and in the background (taskbar icon shows), then it survives a sleep cycle.

Well, good to know I'm not alone with this **bleep**ty issue.
I'm having the same problem, and plus, the metrics are running without my command every time the amd adrenalin window opens too.
I simply have no control. Every time it starts and I cannot disable.

I am upgraded to 24.10.1 and the app keeps randomly opening while I am doing school work. I have Chrome, OneNote, Excel, and Word open and every hour or so it will open and take focus.

The consensus is that the issue is fixed, the update alone probably didn't solve it for you, you should try to make a clean install.
here is the AMD guide: Guide
