Adrenalin 24.12.1 software reinstall?
Hi Team,
I was wondering if there is a way to reinstall the Adrenalin Software without having to re-install the driver? Windows Update installed a newer driver that what comes included with the current download and as a result the software keeps redirecting me to download a compatible driver everytime I try and open it. Problem is, there isn't a newer driver itself on the website so I was hoping to be able to just re-install the software?
Thanks!

Id just use a clean up utility like DDU/AMD clean up and do a clean driver install.

You can reinstall the Adrenalin Software without touching the driver itself. Simply uninstall the current Adrenalin software through Control Panel > Programs and Features. Then, go to the AMD website and download the latest version of the Adrenalin software (even if the driver isn’t the latest). When you install it, the software will install without overwriting your existing driver. This should fix the redirect issue without affecting your current driver version!

Letting Windows to automatically install drivers is generally a bad idea. There are exceptions to the rule but generally not good.
Always install GPU drivers from nVidia/AMD official site.
Microsoft unfortunately makes it difficult pushing their opinion on what version is best for your graphics card.
The only way to stop Windows doing that is in Group Policy settings.
There is actually another way via DDU.
