Hi there

My 7900GRE crashes in ALL games with a driver timeout or a sudden reboot of system.

Card is a reference AMD card sold as a XFX branded card. Bios is original and newer flashed!

Have tried all drivers from AMD from 23.1.x to recent drivers.

Even changed PC from a X570 to a recent X870E chipset as seller told me it was my hardware which caused the problems - money wasted!

Suspect a Windows driver or service to be the culprit but even a fresh install of Windows 11 on a brand new ssd harddisk didnt solve the problem so what to do.

Card is testet in other systems and works ok (just not CS2) without crashes in games or when watching Youtube.

Seller has denied warranty as they test the card ok.

A 7900XTX and a 5700XT works flawless in same computer with same Windows 11 installation?

AMD Driver.

3 month i am a "happy" owner of 7900xtx and 3 month i have crashes due driver timeout.

They still not fix it.

For some games lowering graphic setting fix the problem. For some games changing resolution is helpful.

Currently i am playing No Man's Sky and nothing works at all. I just crashes every 10-60 minutes and that it.

Next GPU would be green for sure. I better give 30% more just to dodge bullet with AMD

Seems i have another problem than driver;

I can insert a 7900XTX or a 5700XT and both run flawless without errors.

This card seems allergic to 3D games and especially Vulcan games for some reason.

Reseller testet in OCCT which doesnt run Vulcan and Furmark which CAN run Vulcan if you specify it to but they wont answer if they did so before declining the card.

Thats why i "hope" its a windows service or program otherwise i have the most expensive book stand around.
