On the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, I select the Display tab, then...
"There is a problem with AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT device. For more information, search for 'graphics device driver error code 22'"
Or most recently...
"There is a problem with AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT device. For more information, search for 'graphics device driver error code 32'"
The latter due to the drivers not being reinstalled...
I've also tried completely reinstalling the drivers (from DeviceManager and AMD tooling). The most recent attempt caused loss of all monitor output, I had to restart windows.
I also experienced Windows Recovery mode on previous attempt.
The 'Adrenaline' tool was previously popping up an error dialog (on previous attempt, when it didn't lose the video output) indicating that the GPU wasn't compatible with the driver. However, it's the same driver that was working previously. So perhaps the hardware is faulty.
I'm not seeing any pertinent errors in the Windows App or System log that I perceive relevant to drivers. Nor do there seem to be an reports regarding under voltage.
The card is not under load. This appears to be a more fundamental issue. I do not currently know if this is h/w or software related but I'm starting to suspect the hardware.
Note that this is all new hardware (PC and GPU) with a fresh install of Windows 11 Pro. It all worked fine for around a week (including under load, in games and VR). I was very happy with my decision to go team red for a change. I'm hoping this can be resolved soon.
