Allocating devices to the PCIe bus
After reading PC won't post after installing an RX 7900 XTX
Posted by @IRyunjin
It made me wonder if I allocated devices correctly to the correct slots on motherboard, so I'd like ask the more experienced members if my setup is right? Or maybe I can relocate devices to get better performance.
So I have the following setup:
Motherboard - MSI X670E Carbon Wifi
Graphics card - plugged into PCI-E1 (cpu lines)
SSD - plugged into M2-2 (cpu lines)
I downloaded the manual but it's all shooting over my head 🤕
And I get this quirky feeling that the ssd should be routed via chipset, so maybe it's in the wrong slot?...
Help!
Edit
Corrected typo

I did something different.
I plugged in my OS SSD into a PCI lane SSD slot, and the CPU lane ssd spot I am saving for a good SSD that will be primarily for Gaming, so it has faster access to the CPU/GPU.

Oh maybe I should have mentioned,
I only have one SSD, not a separate one for the Os....
