Have you ever though on a gadget like this?
Using a remote to short out the power pins. This kind of let me thinking if there is a ALEXA enabled device like this.
You can use Wake-On-Lan to remotely power on your PC from sleep or hibernation using another PC or your Cellphone using just your OS and BIOS settings.
