Hey guys! I recently got a new pc and I got the Rx 580 4g card.
And so it works fine but when I go to launch minecraft it always crashes
" The game crashed whilst initializing game
Error: org.lwjgl.LWJGLException: Pixel format not accelerated "
And I did some digging, apparently it was cause of outdated drivers, but it wasn't the case for me since I did a factory reset on drivers and installed latest drivers for my card.
And then I did some more digging and found out my card didnt have openGL api version
And so I opened GPU-Z which showed me the card had openGL 1.1 checked.
I still cant launch minecraft and many games are also lagging, and in some cases my pc just crashes.
I already reinstalled windows 2 times, deleted drivers with DDU 4 times and reinstalled, tried different driver versions, didnt help I seriously dont know what to do...
If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know!
Hi @uwva ,
Thank you for reporting it. I have whitelisted you and moved the post to the OpenGL forum.
Please check whether a monitor is connected to the AMD card or not. If no monitor is connected to the AMD card, try to connect a monitor to the AMD card and set the AMD card as primary display adapter. Then check the OpenGL version.

Thanks.
Hi, thank you so much for the reply.
My connector was connected to the motherboard instead of the graphics card.
But unfortunately my monitor only supports vga in, will the graphics card still work if i use an adapter ( like vga to hdmi / DP ) ?
You can try to connect with an adapter. I think, it should work.
Alright thank you so much, I'll try to see if it works.
