is there by any chance a recommended ocl package of ffts for radeon vii?
clfft was coded for previous generations of cards.

At least I'm not aware of any. By the way, there seems to be an alternative called rocFFT written in HIP. It's part of AMD's software ecosystem based on ROCm.
