For me, it was discovering what a real-life community feels like here in the Philippines. It's nothing like what we have in North America. Here, there is a whole population that looks out for each other for the betterment of everyone. You walk down the street and say hi to 10 people, all 10 will say hi back and few will invite you over for dinner without even knowing you. people are just kind and happy here. Something that must be experienced to get the full magnitude.
