I recently bought an AMD rx 5700 xt and it was working fine until 2 days ago when my games began lagging very frequently where I would be fine for 10 seconds then lag for 2 minutes and repeat. My PC also lags in every other application. I checked AMD adrenaline and noticed that my VRAM clock speed is always at 1742, even when idled. I have done research and attempted many different fixes but none have worked. The closest thing that worked is where I created a custom resolution in the Adrenaline software to make my refresh rate 164 (instead of 165) and set my timing standard to CVT reduced balancing. That lowered the clock speed to 200 for only a little bit then went straight back to 1742. If anyone has any advise please lmk. I believe others have this issue so maybe it may be fixed in the next drivers update
