so whilst playing gears 5 today my screen cut out and went black, still had audio but screen was shuffling through input cycles trying to find a signal.

after i did a reset using the case button this picture came up.

this screen didnt change until i gave it a solid power off and power back on with the main button and its all working normal as it should be.

i use a custom fan curve to keep the temps down on the global wattman.

have version 19.9.1 of the AMD GPU app

PC specs are followed:

ASRock x570 phantom gaming 4 mobo

16gb g skill trident ram 3200mhz

ryzen 7 3700x with a coolermaster AIO 240L

coolermaster V750 gold power supply

and the GPU being powercolor rx 5700 xt, (the original blower style not the new version)

Have the same problem with my Red Dragon rx 5700 xt! 
The warranty check isn't help me at all, they didn't even see the black screen for 11 days with AIDA stress-tests, but I had this problem 4 times(!!!!) for 5 days using (bought this GC in November 23)

First disable hardware acceleration on crhome web browser

Disable freesync on monitor configuration and radeon anti lag on software radeon. On game tab,.

Works for me after 15 hs of testing no more black screen or freeze

i have same problem here im trying to found out by adding one of this solution each time now im going to turn off the disable hardware acceleration on chorme if this didnt work then the gpu software is died
