MST on RX 6400 and W6400

Do the RX 6400 and W6400 support MST hubs? If so how many total displays can they output through hubs and on card display outs?

I haven't been able to find a definitive answer in listed specs or datasheets, though I could have missed something.

Apologies for pinging you @fsadough, but given what I've seen on similar questions, I suspect you of all people are most likely to have a concrete answer.

The support of MST hub depends on DisplayPort version and the number of total monitors that can be used depends on the bandwidth across all attached monitors to the GPU and MST hub.  W6400 has DP version 1.4 , hence an MST hub can be used, however the W6400 supports:

  • 1x 8K60Hz or
  • 2x 5K60Hz or
  • 2x 4K60Hz

So, if you are planning to run 3x 4K60Hz using an MST hub then you will be out of luck.
