Hey, I have an AMD Radeon HD 8600M Series GPU in my PC. I wanted to know the latest driver version for this GPU, when it was released, and where I can download it.

The 8600M is a series of graphics cards that are only supported up to Windows 10. The last update for these drivers was on June 23, 2022. You can download the drivers from the AMD driver page:

Nope, that isn't it. Cause driver IRQL less or not equal blue screen error, this is probably not the driver.

The GPU-Z 'Lookup' function should link you to exact model of card, then install that driver.

Some old model laptops that also have a processor with graphics, that driver controlled both graphics chips.

What is your processor model?

Its a Intel Core i5 4200U.

Did gpu-z link you to amd 8600 model, or maybe look up the specs on the laptop maker site?

There are 3 models 8630, 8670, 8690.

Ok, i was installing the driver, and everything was going great until Windows froze at 91% I had to restart the laptop using the power button and then it turned on! the driver was updated but then I restarted again because there was a notification to restart, when I added my password the screen froze at "Welcome" After a while, I once again had to force shut down the laptop and then same issue until I booted into safe mode, which work I tried installing the driver in safe mode and this time it did go to 100% (if this matters previously I did a full install with factory reset, this I did driver only with no factory reset). So I went out of safe mode and booted again and well the same issue. I had to use a restore point to fix it and the driver is now again outdated

With old intel + amd graphics chips laptops the intel graphics had to be updated first, then install the amd graphics drivers.

'Windows froze...?, or do you mean the amd installer froze?

Suggest you go to the laptop maker support, downloads site and install available drivers.

See if all goes well with installation, if so then check intel site for newer updates and then amd drivers.

If you have an external monitor connected i suggest you disconnect it for all the update procedures.

Windows froze like the move won't move, time won't update, etc but sure I will first update the intel graphics and other drivers

How did the updates from laptop maker support site go, no problems?

And post images from device manager > display adapters > driver, for the intel and amd graphics.

I updated two drivers as those ones mentioned as missing or outdated I think but I rollbacked my touchpad driver as it was causing me issues

There are 2 2021 graphics driver for your Intel processor (depending on which OS).

As your system is old, you will have to manually find & install the driver (their update app will not find it).

Then try the last & final amd driver (manual download, save, install).

hey before I do this I have an old HDD (previously used in this laptop), is there a way I can get drivers from that to this disk? I can add it to a PC and I believe it still has the Windows files. I think those drivers were up to date. Also, I would appreciate if you could link the 2 2021 graphics driver

Using old hdd would only be viable if you have saved full copies of drivers in downloads folder.
