The best method is to use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) WITHOUT Internet connection to remove all traces of your current AMD driver installed.
Once DDU boots back into Windows Desktop. Delete the folder, if created, C:\AMD at the Root Directory.
Install the full AMD driver you downloaded from AMD download site (https://www.amd.com/en/support/apu/amd-ryzen-processors/amd-ryzen-7-mobile-processors-radeon-graphic... )
Still with the internet disconnected. Once it installs, connect the Internet and delete again C:\AMD folder in the Root directory.
NOTE: for Laptops it is always best to use the Laptop's Support AMD Drivers which are 100% compatible with your computer. Unless the Laptop Support AMD drivers are much older than the AMD generic Laptop drivers.
