So i upgraded and went from a ryzen 3700x to a 5900x

I am currently running 32gb gskill with the specs listed

G.skill trident z neo
Ddr4 3600 (pc4 28800)
18-22-22-42
CasL 18

I’m looking to replace this current ram with something faster... in terms of timings what should I be looking at... honestly all the numbers can get overwhelming esp reading multiple articles... what I have come down to know is casL 16 is a sweet spot, but the timings and how “tight” they are gets confusing...

I’m looking at 2 sticks(16x2) which are ryzen compatible, which would be ideal for the 5900x?

Ddr4 3200 (pc4 25600)

Or

Ddr4 3600 (pc28800)

i also don't plan to overclock or anything but just wanted everything to run as optimal as possible w/o tweaking.

other specs include

gigabyte x570 aorus elite, nvidia 3090 fe

Maybe in like layman terms explanation why which is better... to help also educate me... as I would obviously like to learn why.

You don't need to upgrade your RAM, as you won't see any tangible benefit from it.

All recent Ryzen CPUs (3000 and 5000 series) run considerably faster with 4 ranks installed which it looks like you already have.

So it looks like you would be going from 3600 CL18 to 3600 CL16.  That slight improvement in timings isn't going to amount to much, and certainly not in anything that is GPU bound.  Probably not much reason to upgrade there.
