Hi!

About 8 months ago I bought an rx 6600 and for a while im having a random black screen issue that is very annoying. It always happen when im on desktop or in chrome, never happened while playing a game. The screen just goes black and 3 seconds later I lose sound and just nothing happens.

I tried different version of drivers with a clean DDU install.

I benchmarked the PSU and GPU and I had no problems, it's not a matter of temperature either.

I also tried disabling hardware acceleration on Chrome.

Im running out of ideas tbh.

My PC specs:

Ryzen 5 5600x

Rx 6600 PowerColor

16GB ram 3600Mhz.

Something of what i've done solved the problem:

Disable Hardware Acceleration on both chrome and discord
Updated intel chipset drivers
Update the bios
Update the monitor drivers

If you are experiencing this issue, uninstall all AMD software and drivers from your PC and reinstall the newest set of drivers from http://support.amd.com/en-us/download. This has been reported to fix the issue.

Step 1:

First, you want to make sure your software is completely up to date. To do this:

- Open the Radeon Software Application

- Navigate to the settings icon (top right of your screen)

- Go to System and hit check for updates (the most recent update is from 1/25/22 for the 22.2.1 version)

Step 2:

- If the problem still persists, uninstall all of the chipset drivers.

- After that, make sure you restart your computer.

- Finally, re-install all the software and drivers.

- Keep in mind, you may need to double-check for updates if you re-installed drivers/software.
