I can't seem to catch a break with my newest build. I built it back in November and have been on and off RMAing equipment in an attempt to fix various issues. Below is my latest issue...
I had been playing Splitgate last week (8/27) and I was about to respawn when it seemed like it lost connection to the server. Lo and behold I had lost connection to the internet on just my desktop, I was able to access it just fine on my phone and my girlfriend didn't experience any downtime on her PC either. The network connection icon changed to "no connection period". I thought this was fairly weird, reset my machine and went on with my life.
On 9/5 I had been trying to play some Dota 2 and my game had locked up, it crashed, I lost connection to the internet again, and the PC was hitching for a good 4-5 seconds before anything would happen. I had to forcefully shut it down via the power button.
I had checked Event Viewer after the second incident (for both instances) and for 8/27, it showed that the network interface had begun resetting out of the blue, there's only one error before this saying I lost connection to a DNS server and before that, the last log as half an hour before. For the 9/5 instance, I have 11 errors where it says "Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller #2 has a Hardware IO Error".
I'm currently waiting on AsRock to answer my ticket because this is my third "functional" (fourth overall) motherboard for this build. I figure I might as well post here for more visibility.
