REALLY NEED HELP- CONSTANT CRASHING- RX 7800 XT

Hey there,

Having never used AMD products before, I was eager to try out your hardware when I purchased a brand-new PC a few months ago. I had excellent hopes for the performance and reliability of the AMD GPU; however, my experience so far has been quite disappointing.

Since setting up my new system, I have been facing frequent gaming crashes. Initially, I believed this would be resolved with software updates, but unfortunately, the situation has not improved. I have found numerous articles and community posts online where others have reported similar issues. Despite trying various suggested solutions, such as updating the BIOS, ensuring the power supply is sufficient, updating GPU drivers, and even reverting to older versions of AMD Adrenaline, the crashes persist.

I have tried playing a range of games with different system requirements, from Minecraft to Starfield, and the experience has been consistently frustrating. Some games crash to the desktop every 5 minutes, while others may last up to an hour before displaying the same error message: "Driver timeout has occurred." Recently, the crashes have become even more severe. For example, when trying to play Elden Ring, the game freezes shortly after launching, followed by a brief black screen, and then it crashes directly to the desktop without displaying any error message.

PC SPECS:

CPU AMD RYTEN 7 5700

GPU: AMD RADEON RX 7800 XT

RAM: 32GB, 3200MHz

WIN 11

If you need any more info, let me know.

Post proper specs like the sub vendor of GPU, motherboard model and bios, windows 11 feature update, exact power supply model.

Sub vendor seems to be AMD (1002) - ASUS

Motherboard: BaseBoard Product MAG B550 TOMAHAWK (MS-7C91)

BIOS: Version American Megatrends International, LLC. A.H0

PSU: NZXT850w gold

Win 11: latest version installed.

Is Re sizeable BAR enabled in bios ? Try disabling it. Also you can try updating chipset drivers for b550 chipset from AMD's website. You are on windows 11 24H2 right ? Use drivers with 24H2 support which should be the latest ones.

Is this a prebuilt PC ? If so try reseating RAM.
