NEED HELP

I recently built a pc and everything was lit and spinning everything is plugged in. It was working fine until I was on the AMD software and was installing all the gpu cpu and fans. Those all worked fine until I got to the motherboard. When I tried to instal it it said “error” so I restarted the pc. Now everything turns on still BUT it’s doesn’t display it on my monitor.

And try to use the display drivers 23.12.1 not the latest ones. With the 24.1.1 I have a lot of crashes on my 7900xt.

Hi, you really need to give us more information.

But if you have a 7000 Ryzen then you have an iGPU, take out your graphics card and do some troubleshooting.

Uninstall whatever may be the culprit and put back the card.

Without more information on your end, thats about it.

Good luck

How would I uninstall if I can’t see anything on the screen?

I think you need to read my reply again.

I stated a 7000 Ryzen not a 7000 Radeon.

Oh I see what you mean sorry. No I have a Radeon not a Ryzen my mistake.

Your pcpicker parts lists a 7000 Ryzen, so you just need to connect the monitor cable onto your board, you should get image this way.

It’s a XFX Speedster Merc 310 AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT. And I have tried that I have it plugged in from my monitor to my gpu with a display port.

And? To the board, you mean, not the card.

If it didn't work then probably its not the cards fault.

Do your board have any troubleshooting lights? If so, is any of them lit?

It has two red lights for the pcie cables but those are plugged in. Also the XFX led light is glowing.

I was looking into your board, forget it, the thing does not have troubleshooting lights, in fact, the board you've picked is on the very low end of boards, not a great pick for a 7800X3D.

Connect that cable to the board and see if you get image.

Have you at least tried to clear CMOS?

If you are unwilling or unable to follow the help of others, perhaps its time to take the computer to a repair shop.

And no, I'm doing pretty ok lately but thanks for your concern.    : - )

Don't try to judge words on a forum, if I was on a bad mood, I wouldn't even be here helping and posting stuff.

Johnnyenglish is telling you to pull the GPU from the motherboard. Then plug your hdmi or displayport cable directly into your motherboard video output socket to help isolate the issue with your GPU.

You should be able to display video to your monitor this way, then you can troubleshoot further with driver updates and so on.
