Ryzen 5 5600GT Running Hot (60°C) with Stock Cooler – Help Needed!

Hi everyone,

I’m encountering an issue with my Ryzen 5 5600GT processor. Even with just a few tabs open, the CPU temperature is constantly sitting around 60°C. I’m using the stock AMD cooler, and this high temperature is causing my PC to shut down randomly, making it impossible to play games or even download files without issues.

Has anyone else had similar temperature issues with the Ryzen 5 5600GT using the stock cooler? Are there any suggestions or fixes to keep the temperatures under control, or do I need to consider upgrading the cooling solution?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

hi,
60° is nothing, if it really bothers you you can undervolt, but your problems must come from elsewhere.
Check that you have installed all the updates. Verify your RAM (a friend had a similar issue, and it turned out the problem was due to improperly seated RAM). You can also run an SFC/DISM scan

do you have OC your cpu ?

Check your motherboard BIOS settings to see if there is a CPU Shutdown Temperature setting, and if so it should be at or around the TJmax that AMD recommends which is 95°C for the 5600GT.

It should not be shutting down at 60°C as that falls well within normal operating temperature.
