my cpu was faulty. i used my warranty and got myself a new one for free. so it surely isnt alright for the r5 3600 to be reaching 93C* at full load for seconds

According to Nuctua CPU Compatibility chart, the Model is compatible with the Ryzen 5 3600 processor but not for turbocharging or overclocking the processor: https://ncc.noctua.at/cpus/model/AMD-Ryzen-5%203600-1023

In the above chart it does show which Noctua Models are good for Turbocharging and Overclocking your specific CPU.

Do i need to buy the NM-AM4-UXS mounting kit for the NH-U12A

I know its overkill but my CPU is auto OC'd by my Motherboard anyway.

The Nuctua NH-U12A doesn't indicate that you need to purchase a separate mounting kit from the previous link:

As for the Nuctua NH-U9S if it is newer than 01/2019 it will have the AM4 Mounting kit already included.

It is better to "overkill" then to have a marginal CPU Cooler.

NOTE: Make sure it will fit in your computer case. These are quite large CPU Coolers.
