Hi everyone,
First I have an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx
I've lost the AMD Ryzen™ Balanced power plan because of I've issued
powercfg -restoredefaultschemas
I'm trying to reinstall it with
radeon-software-adrenalin-2020-21.3.1-minimalsetup-210323_web.exe
However I not always have the following window
And when I've got, the installer apparently hasn't reinstalled the power plan.
I've also tried running
AMD.Power.Processor.ppkg
Located in
C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD\Chipset_IODrivers\RyzenPPKG Driver
But the plan is not restored either.
What do you think? Could I reinstall the power plan?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Well, my CPU is an AMD 3000 series, so I guess the power plan could be required, I've finally solved it by manually uninstall the chipset drivers and the AMD software from the control panel and reinstalling it with
radeon-software-adrenalin-2020-21.3.1-minimalsetup-210323_web.exe
Finally the setup could install the plan and it's available again.
AMD claims that Ryzen 5000 series needs no specific power plan, so it is possible they removed it from later drivers. Although if you have 3000 series or earlier it should be present... I think, IDK.
@EFermiis correct but unsure.
