Those stuttering issues can be really frustrating, especially with a new laptop. I've seen similar issues with AMD integrated graphics before.
First, there are a few potential causes for your stuttering:
- Your CPU might be thermal throttling. The Ryzen 7535HS can get pretty toasty in a laptop, especially during gaming. You should monitor your temperatures while gaming - anything above 95°C consistently could cause these drops.
- Your RAM looks fine at 16GB, but check if it's running in dual channel. Single channel RAM can cause significant stuttering in games.
- The AMD 660M shares system memory, and the way it's configured could be causing issues.
Here are some things you can try:
- Update your AMD drivers to the latest version
- Go to Windows Power Settings and set it to "High Performance" mode
- In Windows graphics settings, make sure both GTA V and LoL are set to "High Performance"
- For GTA V specifically, try running it in DirectX 11 instead of 10.1
- Disable Xbox Game Bar and Windows Game Mode if they're enabled
If none of those work, you might want to try limiting your FPS to something like 60 or 90. Having it bounce between 120+ and 5 FPS suggests the system might be struggling to manage power/thermal constraints at higher framerates.
Also worth checking if this happens in other games or just these two. If it's only GTA V and LoL, it might be game-specific settings causing the issue.
