If you look in the specifications for the memory on the product page, F5-6000J3040F16GX2-RS5W F5-6000J3040F16GA2-RS5W - Specification - G.SKILL International Enterprise C... , it does say XMP/EXPO.

Are you sure about EXPO, those 'Additional notes' are generalized.

I don't see a reason they would list the speed as EXPO if it wasn't compatible. You could be right though. I am still on DDR4 so I haven't looked at the compatibility of EXPO and XMP for more than a few RAM kits.

G.Skilll has had some issues running stable with Ryzen 7000. Don't know how common/uncommon that is or if BIOS updates have fixed this.

NewEgg has several options; although that specific one was not one of them.  You failed to mention your motherboard brand and model so here is the link to GSKIL's compatibility.

If you go down the G.Skil PATH, NEO kits is what you want. EXPO certified. These also have more tight timings than the XMP ones.

The XMP ones or non NEO kits, also support EXPO, they just hide it in plain sight to give focus on the NEO kits.

Just check the QVL so you have a bit more safety, as they were tested with the board.

Haveaa look on my topic about my new build, RAPHAEL. You will see what I mean. I posted a picture of the NEO kit I bought.

I don't have an AM5 board, but out of curiosity I did check the MSI MEG X670 ACE and it supports the RAM in question F5-6000J3040F16GA2-RS5W.

QVL is like an extra insurance. If its there then it was tested.

The Englishman

It sure is.  Certainly takes the guesswork out of the equation.
