Upsize Performance and Maximize Fidelity in DEATHLOOP (1)

Over the past few months, we have shared a lot of information about AMD FidelityFX™ Super Resolution 2.0 (FSR 2.0) technology (2), the next generation of AMD open-source upscaling solution. FSR 2.0 next-level temporal upscaling is designed to deliver similar or better than native image quality and boost framerates in supported games across a wide range of products and platforms, and we are very excited to tell you that it is available in DEATHLOOP starting TODAY!

We’ve already given you a couple of looks at FSR 2.0 technology in DEATHLOOP by our friends at Arkane Studios and Bethesda, showcasing the significant image quality improvements FSR 2.0 provides over FSR 1.0 and today we’re thrilled to announce that DEATHLOOP is the first game to be updated to support FSR 2.0*.

We are also happy to announce that we expect 12 more games will be adding support for FSR 2.0 technology in the coming months, including EVE Online, Farming Simulator 22, and Microsoft Flight Simulator. Read on to see the complete list of upcoming games.

DEATHLOOP FSR 2.0 Performance

You can download the latest update to DEATHLOOP now* to experience all the benefits that FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 next-level temporal upscaling technology brings to the game – allowing you to play at higher frame rates without compromising image quality (3). With that in mind, why don’t we have a look at the performance of FSR 2.0 in DEATHLOOP on our NEW AMD Radeon™ RX 6000 Series graphics cards, the Radeon RX 6950 XT, 6750 XT, and 6650 XT?

4K Gaming with FSR 2.0 on the Radeon RX 6950 XT Graphics Card

To start, let’s have a look at how FSR 2.0 can improve performance in DEATHLOOP at 4K at the highest “Ultra” graphics preset and at “Ultra” with raytracing enabled on the new Radeon RX 6950 XT, AMD’s ultimate graphics card for gaming.

Without raytracing, FSR 2.0 boosts framerates by up to 1.7x at 4K on a Radeon RX 6950 XT GPU (1), easily giving you triple-digit performance for the smoothest gameplay, especially if you have a high-refresh-rate 4K gaming monitor. Then if you want to game at the maximum image quality that turning raytracing on in DEATHLOOP delivers, FSR 2.0 boosts performance up to 2.3x (4), letting you game in 4K with no compromises at more than 60 FPS.

4K Gaming with FSR 2.0 on the Radeon RX 6750 XT Graphics Card

Moving to the new powerhouse Radeon RX 6750 XT GPU for 1440 gaming, let’s see how FSR 2.0 technology can take your DEATHLOOP gaming experience at maximum graphics settings to the next level and help achieve amazing framerates even at 4K.

At the maximum “Ultra” graphics preset, the Radeon RX 6750 XT GPU offers decent framerates in DEATHLOOP at 4K but can fall below the 60 FPS mark if everything is cranked to the max. Turning on FSR 2.0 technology transforms your DEATHLOOP experience, letting you hit 60 FPS + in all FSR 2.0 quality modes, with up to 1.9x more performance with FSR 2.0 “Performance” mode enabled (5). Looking at raytracing performance, FSR 2.0 boosts performance to playable framerates even at 4K on the Radeon RX 6750 XT graphics card, with up to 2.5x more performance! (6)

1440p Gaming with FSR 2.0 on the Radeon RX 6650 XT Graphics Card

The new Radeon RX 6650 XT is designed to deliver maximum gaming at 1080p, but when combined with FSR 2.0, you can get amazing performance in DEATHLOOP in 1440p at the highest “Ultra” graphics present, even with raytracing on.

Without raytracing, FSR 2.0 helps the Radeon RX 6650 XT GPU achieve triple-digit framerates at 1440p at the highest game graphics settings, providing up to 1.6x more performance (7). With raytracing turned on at max settings, you still can play DEATHLOOP at more than 60 FPS at 1440p on the Radeon RX 6550 XT, thanks to up to 2.2x better performance delivered by FSR 2.0 in “Performance” mode (8).

Upcoming FSR 2.0 Games and Developers
